The service was absolutely phenomenal. I've only been once and def enjoyed our visit. Esp having small kids the patio was perfect. We apparently came at just the right time since the jazz band had just ended and everyone leaves right after. We ordered the family casual combo with brisket, chicken, pulled pork, 2 sides and biscuits. We added on an additional side(collard greens). As far as the sides the elote was top notch and def should never ever be skipped or slept on. The Mac and cheese my son loved which is rare because my kids are so picky so that's win for us. Collard greens are huge skip. Very very bland. Lacks flavor. Should have went with the waiters suggestion about the green beans. Maybe next time we go to Tucson we will give the green beans a go a long with some ribs. Def a great spot to check out. We also couldn't believe the tap list as well and all the tea options. The prickly pear was great!

Came for a work holiday lunch. The table was ready when we arrived which i appreciated a lot! Our waitress was nice for our party but the service was so slow. Express lunch was not express and I'm confused about why the express lunch isn't advertised on the menu. The music was very loud and we had to ask for them to turn it down. The overall price for the quantity of food was not it but the food was pretty good. I got express lunch with pulled pork, the sweet potato and green beans. They have a 4 piece BBQ sauce assortment to click from on the table too!

I've eaten here a few times. The food is consistently prepared and consistently good. The wait staff is attentive and knowledgeable about their menu. It can be a little noisy, but after all, it's booze and BBQ, so it's not where you'd go for a quiet, intimate meal. I do not eat mac & cheese, but everyone with whom I've dined with who has had it raves about it. Note that the seats are not the most comfortable, so unless you are well distracted by the company you keep, you might find yourself squirming a bit to stay comfortable.

We met some work friends here for supper. Our first experience here wasn't spectacular, so I was a bit skeptical. This time around our server was more attentive, our food and drinks came quicker, and the food was more flavorful. I got a shrimp salad and my husband again ordered the fried chicken dinner. It might be fun to go when they have live music.

Brother John's Beer Burbon & BBQ serves up some really good BBQ along with all the fixin's. Plus, they have a huge number of beers on tap - over 50 to choose from. I sampled two of their robust stouts but found them a little coffee-heavy, so settled on a delightful Schwartzbier from Dark Sky Brewing Company out of Flagstaff. Called Ghost of Perdition, the flavor was smooth and it really hit the spot along with our platter of BBQ meats and accompanying delights. I highly recommend the cheese cornbread as a side choice. Full of flavor, moist, and just the right amount of sweet. The collard greens were OK, but not quite as good as I remember from other BBQs, but the sweet corn was off the cob and just right! The BBQ meats we ordered were a half-rack, some brisket, half chicken, and four sausages - two hot links and two goat-meat sausages. All were great, although the brisket was not quite a moist as we were hoping for. But the ribs were excellent and I really enjoyed the goat sausage. The ambiance of this place was great, and the owner/manager came over to check on us and help clear out table. All in all, I will definitely come back to Brother John's place in the future!
